This fall, Story Boxes is working to provide Story Boxes to JK students across the Wauwatosa School District through community sponsorship.

Each Story Box combines a children's book with hands-on literacy activities designed to make reading skills fun, engaging, and easy to practice at home.

Our goal: Get a Story Box into the hands of every Wauwatosa JK student.

WHY STORY BOXES?

Every child deserves opportunities to build early literacy skills through meaningful, hands-on experiences.

Story Boxes were created by a former elementary teacher to give children activities that connect books, play, and early literacy skills.

Each box includes:

  • A children's book
  • Hands-on literacy activities
  • A hands-on craft
  • Questions to encourage conversation
  • Literacy-focused extension activities
  • Movement and mindfulness activities

The boxes are designed to be engaging for children while giving families simple ways to continue learning together at home.

Your sponsorship helps cover the costs associated with creating and delivering the Story Boxes, including:
